My hand-bound artist’s book “Spent” documents 55 letterpress printed Calathea (Prayer Plant) leaves, each embossed with a repeated small “asking” and left to decay, transforming and partly obscuring the text and its reading in the process. The fulfilment of each request is deemed enacted in its printing.

In 2024, "Spent" was selected as a semi-finalist for the Minnesota Centre for Books Arts (MCBA) International Artist's Book Prize.
