Vanitas
Vanitas (Sokrates) and Vanitas (Nostalgia) were created in 2017 for Line & Verse, a poetry-print project between 21 Canadian artists, 21 Taiwanese artists, 3 Canadian poets, and 3 Taiwanese poets. Drawing on themes of mortality, reminiscence, and material mourning, Law's lithographs are a response to Canadian poet Anne Carson’s poem TV Men: Sokrates and Taiwanese poet Yu Guangzhong’s poem Nostalgia respectively.
